No. FlowTracker uses public USGS data. Once you buy the hardware, there are no monthly fees — ever.
FlowTracker pulls directly from the USGS National Water Information System. The data is as accurate and as current as the official sensors in the field.
FlowTracker learns each gauge's actual reporting schedule and fetches data the moment a new reading is expected — some gauges update every 5 minutes, most every 15, some once per hour. You always see the freshest available data.
FlowTracker will automatically reconnect to your Wi-Fi and resume monitoring as soon as power is restored. All your gauge and threshold settings are saved to internal storage and persist across reboots.
Updates are delivered automatically over Wi-Fi whenever your device connects. You don't need to do anything — just leave it plugged in.
Currently, FlowTracker only supports USGS (United States) gauges. Environment Canada integration is on the roadmap.
Check your Wi-Fi connection first. The INFO button on the front panel shows the device's IP address — if it's blank, the device isn't connected. If you're still stuck, contact support.
